Well y’all, New York was a great time but I’m worn out. And by worn out I mean absolutely EXHAUSTED..like I need a full body massage and a weeks vacation of laying in my bed. I bought a new pair of Nike’s because my feet were aching by the 3rd day from walking 6 miles a day. This trip definitely prepared me for when I move to NYC in August but boy am I grateful to be headed to Florida right now! I’m actually in the airport as we speak doing some people watching!
Hope everyone had a great week!
(I apologize for my green socks..but hey! they match my bag)
With fall finally underway, Alabama officially has some cooler weather! To celebrate that still in between weather I went for a cream colored skirt and striped blouse, paired off with my FAVORITE shoes and my Gregory Sylvia hobo tote!
Julie Vos launched her new website last week and I must say it looks pretty fabulous! I decided to pair my new Julie Vos jewelry with an all black look. You know how sometimes you just stare in your closet until you can find something? Well that is what I was doing. Finally I remebered that I got these over the knee black boots from the Nordstrom Sale which made me automatically pair them with this black dress and my new Missoni clutch that I got for my birthday. Yeah, I love when stuff just comes together like that out of the blue!

I’ve done a pretty good job steering clear of outrageous crop tops until now. I caved in and bought this Show Me Your Mumu crop top with the skirt, now granted I bought it because the skirt is high so it shows just the right amount of midriff. I absolutley love this outfit because I still feel on trend with crop tops but also comfortable because I’m not showing my entire stomach. Plus, you can’t go wrong in Show Me Your Mumu, all of their prints make you feel so happy.
So, I’ve been dying to try the drawstring pant trend that is tight on the bottom! I knew that when Raoul contacted me and mentioned they had them in their new Spring/Summer 14 Ready- To- Wear line that I had to jump on board and try them. I will admit I was very iffy about the trend but once I realized how comfy they were I was in heaven. And now I happen to have my eyes on another pair!
We went from sunshine and neons to rain and black, but I’m not surprised..this Alabama weather has been a little out of wack this season. But, let’s get to the real point.. ME..IN ..A…CROP…TOP… Never thought I’d live to see the day of myself in a crop top..but to be honest, I don’t mind it! As long as it’s covering most of my stomach and it’s paired with something high-waisted I don’t mind! I think I may finally be jumping on this bandwagon but you will not be seeing it too often. A bit of midriff is just right and classy..anything more is just not for me. Also, I’ve been loving fringe lately and I spotted this bag at Selphi and had to get it!
You can find this outfit at Selphi in Tuscaloosa, AL! They also ship..comment if you have any questions!
Scallops are the elegant version of chevron or zig zags. This spring, I am seeing scallops…ALOT. It’s also one of my favorite shaped seashells to find on the beach (hence Shotguns & Seashells). I can’t stop drooling over this bikini or the cobalt blue sandals. My mind is ready for sunshine and shorts sleeves! Being home in Vero Beach for Spring Break is making me want summer to hurry up and be here already so I can wear all of these cute scalloped trends.
