With 2014 quickly coming to an end I can’t help but smile at such a great year I’ve had with Shotguns & Seashells! I appreciate all of the love and support that all of my readers have given me..without y’all I wouldn’t be able to do it. I can’t wait to see what 2015 has to offer and to watch Shotguns & Seashells grow more!
My girlfriends and I hit the town on Thursday night to do a little wine tasting at the local wine bar in Tuscaloosa called Carpe Vino! We got to try 6 different wines: 3 whites and 3 reds for just $10. I can’t say I’m a white wine fan but I did love all of the reds. It’s definitely a place I’ll be going back to and I highly recommend it! They accommodated about 15 of us and allowed us to bring a cheese plater and a birthday cake since we were celebarting a friends birthday!
For a better recap check out Fast Foodie US ! Parker is my right hand gal for all things yummy!
Fall is finally upon us, which mean it’s time to embrace my favorite season of fashion! I wasn’t always this excited to shop for sweaters, boots, and vests but moving from sunny, warm Florida to Alabama has introduced me to this new seasonal change. Any excuse to expand my closet is a good one!
Posh Tuscaloosa is offering a $50 retail value certificate to Expeditions for only $25. This is a deal you won’t want to miss! Find this whole outfit and more great fall looks at Expeditions but hurry before this great offer is over.
This weekend I got to watch the tide crush the gators. Weird for me to say because I was raised a gator girl..but when it comes to us competing my hearts with the tide!
I loved getting to wear my new ruffle shorts from Sideline Sweetie this weekend! You can order them and get 15% off anything else their online store has to offer when you use the code CMACUA. Also, don’t forget about this adorable tassel necklace and stretchy made by Southern Sequins! She even does custom orders which makes shopping that much better!
Julie Vos launched her new website last week and I must say it looks pretty fabulous! I decided to pair my new Julie Vos jewelry with an all black look. You know how sometimes you just stare in your closet until you can find something? Well that is what I was doing. Finally I remebered that I got these over the knee black boots from the Nordstrom Sale which made me automatically pair them with this black dress and my new Missoni clutch that I got for my birthday. Yeah, I love when stuff just comes together like that out of the blue!
Julie Vos has offered my readers a special 20% off discount on ALL their jewelry when you use the code: shotsandseas

Another great game day look by Raoul! I absolutely adore this top I think the colors and shapes are great. The pleated skirt with the buttons reminds me of my private school uniform which brings back memories!
Here’s what is ironic about this post. It had literally just been raining and I finally had time to do a rainy day outfit post. Once I finally got ready and looked out the window- well what would ya know it stopped raining. So, what I hoped would turn into a cute rainy day post turned into a sunny day looking silly wearing rain gear post. I still wanted to take the pictures anyway..I didn’t get dressed up for nothing.
Stars, stripes and whiskey. What more is there to say? I love throwing on a t-shirt, shorts and a pair of sandals. I obviously love being comfortable and casual, I mean honestly..what could possibly be better?. Especially when you’re running around doing errands. I am by no means “grunge” or have a grunge like style but I loved the quote and holes on this shirt so I decided to step outside my box and get it.
I’ve done a pretty good job steering clear of outrageous crop tops until now. I caved in and bought this Show Me Your Mumu crop top with the skirt, now granted I bought it because the skirt is high so it shows just the right amount of midriff. I absolutley love this outfit because I still feel on trend with crop tops but also comfortable because I’m not showing my entire stomach. Plus, you can’t go wrong in Show Me Your Mumu, all of their prints make you feel so happy.
The drop- waist dress is a trend that I’m loving. I think that it is so flattering and classy! This Raoul one is the perfect party dress and the black in the back says “I came to party” or at least that’s what I think! Unfortunately, this clutch isn’t available for purchase anymore BUT I did happen to come across Rent The Runway and you can rent it from them online. BRILLIANT!
