October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and for me, being an avid member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority my sisters and I will do anything to raise awareness. We think pink all year round in Zeta Tau Alpha, not just in October and y’all should too.

For the month of October my sorority, the Zeta Tau Alpha, Nu Chapter has put chalkboards out in front of the house to write peoples names down that have been affected by breast cancer. If y’all know any one who has been affected, please let me know so I can share their names on the chalkboards too

Julie Vos launched her new website last week and I must say it looks pretty fabulous! I decided to pair my new Julie Vos jewelry with an all black look. You know how sometimes you just stare in your closet until you can find something? Well that is what I was doing. Finally I remebered that I got these over the knee black boots from the Nordstrom Sale which made me automatically pair them with this black dress and my new Missoni clutch that I got for my birthday. Yeah, I love when stuff just comes together like that out of the blue!

Julie Vos has offered my readers a special 20% off discount on ALL their jewelry when you use the code: shotsandseas

Sassy Wednesdays: Lauren Moffatt + A Giveaway!

So tell me, what do y’all think of the curls? This is a hair style I have yet to put on the blog because I’m either too lazy to do it, not good at doing it and/or worried that it will turn out a disaster. Luckily, right before I went to shoot this weeks Sassy Wednesdays I had a hair appointment and asked my sweet hair dresser Kim McAuliffe at Polished In Vero Beach if she would add some curls to my hair! So far, I love them!

dress: J. Crew, similar // sandals: Mystique// clutch: Lilly Pulitzer, old // necklace: LB Collections // sunglasses: Ray- Ban // bangles: Lilly Pulitzer

I love navy, I love turquoise and I love summer. How great is this necklace from LB Collections? It’s called the “Palm Beach”…so appropriate for this Florida girl. I love pairing a bold color with something neutral like navy. This look is simple but still chic. I hope y’all are having a great week!

Bikini Season

Bikini Season
one // two // three // four // five // six
Besides being addicted to cowboy boots and nail polish, I also happen to be slightly addicted to bikinis.  Since I grew up in Florida I can honestly say that I was in a bikini at least 75% of my childhood, and until I was about 6 I didn’t wear tops (one pieces were never an option in my book either). I still continue to be in a bikini 75% of the time when I’m home but clearly I wear tops now. Summer or winter it doesn’t matter the season — as long as the sun is out! I love nothing more than soaking up the sun and getting vitamin D.
After all getting a tan is the best medicine around!
Hope you enjoy my favorite bikinis!
