I promised myself that in the year of 2015 I would treat my body better by working out and eating right. I’m a big fan of Pure Barre…I don’t know what I did with my time before I found it (yes I do, I rode horses..which messed up my back which is another reason I do PB). I try to go to Pure Barre 4-5 times a week and get light cardio in twice a week. Let’s face it…running is boring and I suck at it especially since I can’t figure out how to breathe and I can only run for about 1o minutes but that’s good enough to me! I’ve also been trying to eat better…a lot of vegetables, small portions and just healthier items in general. I’ve been “trying” to avoid unhealthy items at all cost which seems nearly impossible when you date a guy who eats so much junk and still manages to stay fit. I do cheat here and there to indulge on an occasional pancake or a trip to Chick Fil A or Chipotle.
I love Pure Barre because it’s a full body work out…you sweat, shake and finish the class feeling so good or at least I do. I’ve been going to Pure Barre Tuscaloosa for a year now but I didn’t focus on what I was eating or bother doing side exercises until now. I realized that if you want to see results you have to cut out whats bad for you. Since I’ve started Pure Barre it’s made me much more flexible…like I can actually finally touch my toes but I’m still working on getting my body to go down lower when I touch my toes. It’s also helped strengthen my back by working on my core and it’s made me feel better about myself!
Everyone has a workout that they love and mine just happens to be Pure Barre! I’m not sure what I’m going to do when I graduate and move home because we don’t have a Pure Barre studio in Vero so I’ll have to think of what I can do next that’s similar! Any suggestions?
