I don’t get to go on a tropical Spring Break this year with all my friends because I’ll be in NYC doing interviews for my internship this Fall. I’m basically bummed out that I won’t be able to spend it with my friends but I know I’m going to have a blast in NYC (hoping it will be kinda warm). Just because I don’t get to enjoy the warm tropical weather doesn’t mean I can’t obsess over the SB essentials. I do get to go home the weekend after Spring Break so I will get a little sunshine in!
There are 25 daysuntil Christmas that means it’s time to get to shopping, decorating and cooking. Christmas is my favorite time of the year! I love getting dressed up for holiday parties and seeing all of my friends, it’s also the time that I’m home for the longest. Plus I can’t leave out the fact that I can go to the beach during Christmas too. Spending Christmas in a beach town is the best. To be honest, I don’t think I’ll ever learn how to dress for cold weather and I blame it all on FL. I really didn’t own sweaters until this year and I live in Alabama for 9 momths out of the year. You’d think I would of learned after freshman year. I’ve never had a white Christmas and although sometimes I wish I did I could never trade the beach for the snow!
I’m so sad that my Orange Beach,AL trip has come to an end. I had such a great time and I was so happy to finally see Matt- who I haven’t seen in 2 months. He was such a great sport and even offered to snap some photos of me!
This was my 4th of July beach look not very patriotic but I was dying to wear my Pitusa dress. It’s perfect to throw on over your bikini. The neon color and purple trim made it even prettier! I’m already deciding which color I want to get next…life of a shopaholic!
One Word: Necklace. Yep, when I got it in that mail I thought it was amazing but once I put it on with this jumpsuit my jaw dropped. I am in love with my new statement piece! It looks great paired with the color navy or white. Not to mention, this jumpsuit felt like I was in pajamas..so incredibly comfortable I didn’t want to take it off..but obviously I had to because I got soaked at the beach.
Mother’s Day is this Sunday and I know my family has plans to go to brunch and sit outside and watch the boats go in and out of the inlet! My Mom has been my best friend for 21 years, my twin, and the one who is always there when I need her, so she deserves the best (every Mother does). I live in a town where citrus, real estate and the beach are a big part of our lives. So, when I saw some of these citrus inspired items I knew they would be perfect for Mother’s Day, especially in my family!
There are only have a few days left to shop so try something that you usually don’t do. Surprise her for once, instead of giving her the basic mani/pedi and massage combo, which my brother and I are guilty of doing.
