Here’s to kicking off summer! I’m officially home in Florida for 3 weeks before I go back to Alabama for one more class before I move to NYC in August. If y’all haven’t heard yet, I will be interning in NYC for the fall semester with Tibi and I’m vey excited! If you’re from NYC I’d love to hear about some of your favorite things to do in the city. I’ll be doing a lot of exploring on my days off.
Now to the Lilly For Target jumpsuit…y’all I woke up at 7am and went to the local Target at 7:30 waiting in line with 40 other people. Luckily, I was close enough in line to the point where I was actually able to get a decent amount of items including this jumpsuit. I LOVE it!

p.s. More blog photos coming next week…sorry for slacking it’s been an extremely busy end of the semester for me! I LOVE Y’ALL and thanks for sticking with me!
Here’s a little color to brighten your day! Miserable rainy day here in Tuscaloosa…I’ve spent it laying in bed sick catching up on homework. Having a total case of the Mondays! But I figured this adorable Three Islands Clothing dress could bring in some colorful happiness. I paired it with my favorite basic neutrals: Kendra Scott Earrings, Gigi New York Clutch and Rebecca Minkoff rock studs. I have on the Julie Dress in Gulf Green Plaid it’s the MUST HAVE dress at only $76! It has an elastic waist band..notice in the pictures and an adorable v-neck with a lot of stretch! It’s going to be a great summer dress!
I wasn’t kidding in my instagram when I said I’ll be in this romper all summer long…and the sandals too. This romper is going to be perfect for going out or even wearing as a beach cover up…and the sandals. I’ll probably wear them out in a month because I will wear them nonstop. Plus, they are $125 and SO CUTE. I’m deciding on if I should get the pair in black too!
Be sure to check out the Wednesday link up below!!
Someone please tell me where the time has gone? I can’t believe it’s already for spring time! Don’t get me wrong I’m so excited for spring I just can’t believe how quickly time has flown by..even in my college career! I’m so excited I finally got to pull down my white jeans from the top shelf of my closet. So consider this my first white jeans post of the year!
I think that a poncho is the best article of clothing (besides an over-sized t-shirt) to keep you warm and cozy when it’s cold out. This look is perfect for running around or sitting by a nice fire with a glass of red wine. Basically what I wish I was doing right now…but I have a feeling this weekend I will be. I’m headed to FLORIDA (yay!) to see my family, friends, Scout and to just relax! Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see all the fun I’m having in the sunshine state!
Got Kale? Have you ever heard about massaging kale? Ya, me neither but Fast Foodie knows all about it and I suggest you check it out here. A special shout out to Fitz Pullins of The Inventory Room for these adorable tops! I’ve worn mine so much! I’m always so grateful for the people I meet and friends I make from blogging! I honestly couldn’t imagine not having Fast Foodie by my side…she has been nothing but a great support system for Shotguns & Seashells! Plus, what’s better than having fun taking pictures with your bff?
Fast Foodie, originally started her blog to write about food and has decided to branch out and become a lifestyle blog and feature guest posting! I highly suggest checking it out..she’s got fitness, fashion and entertainment. Basically she’s got it all and I’m so proud of how far she has come in the past year! I guess I should mention that Fast Foodie’s name is Parker…LOL!
Above is the gorgeous Parker of FastFoodie.Us…one of my favorite photos of her!
Happy Hump Day! Hope everyone is prepared for Valentine’s Day and has purchased all of the last minute gifts and goodies. I’m seriously considering ordering myself a box of chocolate covered strawberries because they look so delicious and well, I deserve some! Right?
I promised myself that in the year of 2015 I would treat my body better by working out and eating right. I’m a big fan of Pure Barre…I don’t know what I did with my time before I found it (yes I do, I rode horses..which messed up my back which is another reason I do PB). I try to go to Pure Barre 4-5 times a week and get light cardio in twice a week. Let’s face it…running is boring and I suck at it especially since I can’t figure out how to breathe and I can only run for about 1o minutes but that’s good enough to me! I’ve also been trying to eat better…a lot of vegetables, small portions and just healthier items in general. I’ve been “trying” to avoid unhealthy items at all cost which seems nearly impossible when you date a guy who eats so much junk and still manages to stay fit. I do cheat here and there to indulge on an occasional pancake or a trip to Chick Fil A or Chipotle.
I love Pure Barre because it’s a full body work out…you sweat, shake and finish the class feeling so good or at least I do. I’ve been going to Pure Barre Tuscaloosa for a year now but I didn’t focus on what I was eating or bother doing side exercises until now. I realized that if you want to see results you have to cut out whats bad for you. Since I’ve started Pure Barre it’s made me much more flexible…like I can actually finally touch my toes but I’m still working on getting my body to go down lower when I touch my toes. It’s also helped strengthen my back by working on my core and it’s made me feel better about myself!
Everyone has a workout that they love and mine just happens to be Pure Barre! I’m not sure what I’m going to do when I graduate and move home because we don’t have a Pure Barre studio in Vero so I’ll have to think of what I can do next that’s similar! Any suggestions?
