MacarOn Cafe

Macaron Cafe in NYC

I was lucky enough to have MacarOn Cafe send me some of their delicious macaroons just in time for me to enjoy on Memorial Day. They sent me their Luxury Gift Box with 6 delicious flavors (the coconut one was my favorite). They have 4 stores in New York but you can also order online with them and customize your box. They have flavors like peanut butter, creme brûlée, grapefruit and of course, your basic vanilla and chocolate…but literally the flavors are unlimited.

I know that I will be paying them a visit when I move to New York in the Fall…most likely multiple visits because if we are being honest…macaroons are a way of life and MacarOn Cafes are to die for! Plus, macaroons make the best gift for birthdays, celebrations and even graduation! **4th of July is coming up and they have ADORABLE 4th of July themed macaroons** Start shopping now here and start drooling…..you won’t be able to stop. I promise!

I’m still wishing that the weather would warm up but I guess dressing like it’s barely cold out is the best I can possibly do! I love nothing more than a fur vest or fur anything for that matter; it’s the perfect way to dress up a casual outfit!

Lately, I have gotten some questions about my bag and  thought I’d share with y’all about it! I got it as my 21st birthday, one of my favorite birthday presents ever besides my horses and a Kitchen Aid from my boyfriend. You have to order it custom through Louis Vuitton and it takes about 4-6 weeks (no, you can’t send them an old bag) but you can pick  out whatever you please! Green is my favorite color, so naturally I went with a classic white and green combo! They even monogram wallets and planners!

P.S. SHOTGUNS & SEASHELLS IS GOING TO BE GETTING A WEBSITE MAKEOVER SO IT WILL BE DOWN FOR A FEW DAYS! BUT IT WILL BE BACK AND RUNNING SOON AND  BETTER THAN BEFORE! (as you can tell some of my widgets have already disappeared)

saying bye to my Mama

I can’t even begin to describe all the fun experiences NYC gave to me, especially being my first visit as a fashion blogger. As you can probably tell by the many posts I made this past weekend, I had a hard time not taking pictures of just about everything the city had to offer. Going to ENK International Coterie, shopping at Henri Bendel, and pretending to be Eloise at the Plaza were the highlights of my trip. Coterie was unbelievable! I learned about all of the trends and designer’s lines for Fall 2014. Lumber jack plaid, snakeskin, and hints of leather will continue to line the racks while colors like navy, wine, olive, and plum will be the stars of the color wheel. My favorite vendors, not surprisingly, included names like Trina Turk, Kate Spade, and Tory Burch along with Minnie Rose, Dee Keller, and Mara Hoffman. Not to mention, I got to meet Brighton Keller of “Brighton the Day” blog. The trip seemed to fly by and I wouldn’t say no to another go around but I think it’s safe to say I’m where I should be in the south- the craziness of city life just isn’t for me!

Stripes + Booties

I had the time of my life in NYC and can’t wait to share everything with y’all tomorrow. I wish my plane had taken me back to Florida last night instead of Alabama though. Today I just want to be some place warmer (which I think is apparent by my outfit choice)! But I still love this look- it’s comfy, casual and can still be dressed up!

Who says you can’t wear chartreuse in the winter?

I have been in love with this Tibi dress since the day I saw it hanging in Sassy Boutique! I knew I had to have it, and I’ve been dying to wear it! It’s absolutely adorable and the bright chartreuse makes you feel so much happier in the winter.

Only 3 more days until I head to NYC..you might be seeing a repeat of this dress because I love it so much!

What’s in my suitcase for NYC?

I Love New York
I am so excited to go to New York City next weekend for the ENK International Coterie Fashion Market. I am going for a boutique back at home (Vero Beach, FL) called Sassy Boutique! Sassy has been around since as long as I have and it is hands down my favorite store at home, not to mention the owner Deana Marchant, is like my second mother! I get everything I need from there whether it’s a formal dress, jeans, or shoes. Sassy has it! I am also so excited to see my Mom, Deana, and my friend Grace! It has been over a month since I last saw them and I couldn’t be more thrilled. This Alabama girl is headed north, but bringing the south with her! Be on the lookout for my post while I’m in the Big Apple! Also, follow my Instagram shotgunsandseashells to get the most recent updates of our trip!
