I wasn’t kidding in my instagram when I said I’ll be in this romper all summer long…and the sandals too. This romper is going to be perfect for going out or even wearing as a beach cover up…and the sandals. I’ll probably wear them out in a month because I will wear them nonstop. Plus, they are $125 and SO CUTE. I’m deciding on if I should get the pair in black too!
Be sure to check out the Wednesday link up below!!
Sometimes a little black romper is all you need! I wore this to my early birthday dinner WAY back in August and added some color with my Moms Gigi New York Uber clutch (notice: SAM is not my initials). I loved it and I even wore this romper to an Alabama game (see here)!
This weekend I got to watch the tide crush the gators. Weird for me to say because I was raised a gator girl..but when it comes to us competing my hearts with the tide!
I loved getting to wear my new ruffle shorts from Sideline Sweetie this weekend! You can order them and get 15% off anything else their online store has to offer when you use the code CMACUA. Also, don’t forget about this adorable tassel necklace and stretchy made by Southern Sequins! She even does custom orders which makes shopping that much better!
Stars, stripes and whiskey. What more is there to say? I love throwing on a t-shirt, shorts and a pair of sandals. I obviously love being comfortable and casual, I mean honestly..what could possibly be better?. Especially when you’re running around doing errands. I am by no means “grunge” or have a grunge like style but I loved the quote and holes on this shirt so I decided to step outside my box and get it.
Another summer has come and gone, and I can’t believe it. I think for the most part a lot of y’all know that I am a horsey girl. I have been for as long as I could walk and Scout (my horse) has been in my life since I was 8 and I’m going on 22 in just a few weeks. Every summer, I come home to do what I love and that’s riding and being surrounded by Scout and even more horses. This summer has kept me busier than ever with blogging, working, daily horse responsibilities and an online class. I will admit that 3 months flew by faster than they usually do and I am beside myself about leaving and going back to school. Saying bye to my horse is my absolute least favorite goodbye aside from my family and this year it seems harder than ever. I am so beyond blessed for all of the support and amazing opportunities my family allows me to do which I think makes it so hard.
Alright time to stop being emotional and get to the point.
I figured I would share with y’all an equestrian outfit post..and show y’all a side of me you have really never seen. I had the pleasure of shooting with my friend Kelsey of Natural Flash Images! This is something I do every summer with Scout now that we are both getting older (Scout is 20). I love to look back on these memories and photos to see how we both change. I could seriously ramble on all day about horses but I don’t want to bore y’all…
I put on a fancy pair of blue jeans, my best jewels, one of my favorite tops and of course, one of my many pairs of cowboy boots! I think I have told y’all plenty of times how O-B-S-E-S-S-E-D I am with cowboy boots. And yes, I call them cowboy boots..they are NOT cowgirl boots. The term “cowgirl boots” is my #1 pet peeve besides chipped nails, it’s a pretty close tie. I hope y’all enjoyed my horsey/fashion photoshoot 🙂
After all Scout is the Shotguns to my Seashells.
I met Scout on a hot summer day 14 years ago, he thought my hair was hay and the rest was history after that
I’ve done a pretty good job steering clear of outrageous crop tops until now. I caved in and bought this Show Me Your Mumu crop top with the skirt, now granted I bought it because the skirt is high so it shows just the right amount of midriff. I absolutley love this outfit because I still feel on trend with crop tops but also comfortable because I’m not showing my entire stomach. Plus, you can’t go wrong in Show Me Your Mumu, all of their prints make you feel so happy.
Just realized I never posted this outfit from awhile ago– as you can tell by the grass! But it’s one of my favorites. This top is from JCrew and my Mom probably bought it for my birthday almost 2 years ago. It was a must have item when we saw Rachel Parcell’s of Pink Peonies wearing it! But, we were SOLD when we saw that the colors were turqouise and grey, which are ZTA (my sorority) colors! Paired with my wannabe Valentino pumps and my favorite Gigi New York accessories!
It’s over. I really don’t know what to do with myself now. I have driven back and forth to Birmingham Fashion Week for 5 days straight! I saw amazing retailers, designers, and emerging designers on the runway. I even met the sweetest bloggers too! I had the absolute best time and I’m so glad I had this opportunity to not only go to BFW, but also be in the media pit!
Okay…now, I lied when I said I don’t know what to do with myself. I know what I need to be doing (studying for my 2 exams) so I can pack up my favorite things and head home to the sunshine state for the summer but we all know blogging is better.
I won’t be doing any more post until I get home this weekend…so keep up with me on Instagram!
We went from sunshine and neons to rain and black, but I’m not surprised..this Alabama weather has been a little out of wack this season. But, let’s get to the real point.. ME..IN ..A…CROP…TOP… Never thought I’d live to see the day of myself in a crop top..but to be honest, I don’t mind it! As long as it’s covering most of my stomach and it’s paired with something high-waisted I don’t mind! I think I may finally be jumping on this bandwagon but you will not be seeing it too often. A bit of midriff is just right and classy..anything more is just not for me. Also, I’ve been loving fringe lately and I spotted this bag at Selphi and had to get it!
You can find this outfit at Selphi in Tuscaloosa, AL! They also ship..comment if you have any questions!
