I bet y’all are wondering where this weeks Sassy Wednesdays was..but I was busy at Market for Sassy Boutique on  Monday and Tuesday so we decided to skip this week!! It was a blast though. I loved getting to see all the Miami Swim and Cabana show rooms. Such a fun show and different atmosphere from when I went to Coterie in New York this spring. Must say I’m not a Miami gal but I definitely embraced it!

Sassy Wednesdays: Lauren Moffatt + A Giveaway!

So tell me, what do y’all think of the curls? This is a hair style I have yet to put on the blog because I’m either too lazy to do it, not good at doing it and/or worried that it will turn out a disaster. Luckily, right before I went to shoot this weeks Sassy Wednesdays I had a hair appointment and asked my sweet hair dresser Kim McAuliffe at Polished In Vero Beach if she would add some curls to my hair! So far, I love them!

Back to the outfit..this turqouise color looks great in the summer and this dress is so easy to throw on and go either to the beach, or for a night out at the country club. For me, it’s a great dress to throw on and run some errands in. Paired off with one of my favorite Kate Spade bags, Bourbon & Boweties beaded bracelets, gold sandals by K. Jacques and Theis mother of pearl earrings and of course, my signature sunglasses- Ray- Bans!

Keeping it comfy and casual today with Sassy Wednesdays!

I woke up this morning in a extremely casual and simple mindset when it came to getting ready..so to add some life to my simply chic white look I added on some statement pieces! Necklace, lips and bracelets- they all added a pop to my white look! I also just so happened to get to stop in at Otter Brown today to see the lovely Carley Ochs, who is the master mind behind these beautiful Bourbon & Boweties bracelets!
Happy Friday

Dashing To The Derby…Hello Kentucky!

off to the races

Going to the Kentucky Derby is a dream of mine but it somehow always happens to fall on the weekend after exams are over, when I have to pack up and head home. So I’m hoping once I graduate I’ll get to finally attend. I mean I mainly want to go to stare at the pretty horses because, well…we all know my obsession with them!
Whether you’re headed to the Derby or to a friend’s house to watch, making sure you look your absolute best for this event is key! The Derby is all about being chic, elegant and of course, classy. You want to stand out at the Derby but not to the point where it could be obnoxious. The three outfits I dressed up go from chic and stylish to sophisticated and elegant to classic and casual!  Also, don’t forget that if you are wearing opened toed shoes you need a fresh pedicure, especially now that it’s almost summer and a manicure!
What’s your favorite look and how do you prepare for the derby?

It’s over. I really don’t know what to do with myself now. I have driven back and forth to Birmingham Fashion Week for 5 days straight! I saw amazing retailers, designers, and emerging designers on the runway. I even met the sweetest bloggers too! I had the absolute best time and I’m so glad I had this opportunity to not only go to BFW, but also be in the media pit!

Okay…now, I lied when I said I don’t know what to do with myself. I know what I need to be doing (studying for my 2 exams) so I can pack up my favorite things and head home to the sunshine state for the summer but we all know blogging is better.

I won’t be doing any more post until I get home this weekend…so keep up with me on Instagram!

Have a lazy Sunday for me!!

Birmingham Fashion Week Day 2 complete and I think it may have been my favorite night so far even though it was only the 2nd day! I could hardly keep my mouth shut and you’ll find out soon in my next post…We also popped in to Cantina for a margarita and some queso while we were waiting around for the show to start! They had an amazing atmosphere, which I am a sucker for and delicious drinks!

aztec + cut outs

Susana Monaco (top) is one of my hands down favorite designers, EVER. Her pieces are classic and look great on everyone..I have about 5 white tops by her that I pair with everything. Lately, I’ve had a thing for pants though..especially flowy ones. The good thing about flowy pants is that you don’t have to jump around trying to fit into them like you would a tight pair. I also love patterns and I think this aztec print is awesome and is a very versatile print to wear year round wear!

nude + green

To me, a classic look stands out more than one that screams for attention. This nude vegan leather top gave me the right amount of simplicity but still says I have good taste!  And once again, another green item to add in my closet, and of course, it’s  Gigi New York!

Hope y’all are enjoying my new set up!
