You know on the weekends or any day how you want to look cute but still be comfortable in jeans and sneakers? Well I think that’s why they created the term “athleisure”…perfect combo of athletic wear plus leisure wear. You can literally go from working out to dinner (however, I don’t suggest working out in jeans). This look could be styled with leggings too! I opted for jeans though..my boyfriend jeans to be exact because they are so comfortable!
Valentine’s Day is offically a month away so it’s time to start thinking about your loved ones. I’ve never thought too much about Valentine’s Day nor ever really cared for it…to be honest I’ll be lucky if Matt and I do something and I’ll be completly fine with it. I’m not into splurging over the top either on gifts…I just don’t find it necessary so I picked a few items in different prices ranges!
I love a comfy dress that you can run around and do errands in! When I saw this dress at Target I knew that I had to get it. Plus, the price was right so I couldn’t pass it up! When I got back to school and was putting away all of my clothes I realized that I have 5 long sleeved comfy cotton dresses that are striped…which gave me a hint that I need to think what I have in my closet before I buy something..but nah!
I’m not going to lie…trying to figure out how to dress for cold weather is not my expertise. I’m still trying to get the hang of it…I mean I grew up in Florida…growing up when it would get cold we flocked to uggs, jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Cold weather up in Alabama is a whole different story…No joke. I just got back from class (it’s 16 degrees here) and I had on 5 layers plus a scarf, and a headband. I looked like a total goon!
Here’s a look at my bedroom at school. Now if you are a friend of mine and have seen my room at home in Florida (coming soon) they’re basically the same. I like very clean and crisp colors. White and blues are my go to bedroom colors. I like to feel like I’m in a calm environment and it’s not done over the top. Trina Turk makes a great fabric that stands out yet is still relaxing and trendy (to me). I owe it all to my Mom for being so creative and decorating both of my bedrooms…she really does know what she’s doing. But can’t say I thought that when it was happening (sorry Mom).
Obviously, I’m not very skilled with the camera but I tried my best to showcase my room..and this is probably the only time you’ll ever see it spotless.
If you have any questions about where something is from just let me know!
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love jewelry and making it the statement of my outfit. I couldn’t be prouder of my creative and talented friend, Southern Sequins! All of her jewerly is handmade in my hometown of Vero Beach, FL which makes it that much better! If you visit her website on Etsy she can do custom orders too:) My favorite pieces are the tassel necklaces!
I can’t help but drool over how pretty the view is behind me in these photos. I spent Christmas Day at my Grandma’s house and I always love to go out on her dock and take in the view! Not many people are this lucky to stare out at the river everyday including myself. Growing up my brother and I’s favorite thing to do when we would get home from a family vacation would be driving over the 17th Street bridge and just looking out at the ocean… I always instantly feel right at home when I drive over the bridge!
